Special Thailand Project

Have you always thought about travelling to Asia and teaching English? Here is your chance!

With TEFL International’s well established and long-running Special Projects, you can immerse yourself in the culture of your chosen country whilst working your way towards a TEFL International TESOL Certificate. All for $500!

What does the Special Project involve?

Earn your TEFL International TESOL Certificate for $500 by:-

1. Completing the TEFL International Virtual TESOL Course

You will take the Virtual TESOL Course, which can be completed from anywhere in the World. The Virtual TESOL Course consists of lessons taken online with a Virtual Trainer, and lasts for 4 weeks. There are also some written assignments that you will need to complete. For more information, pleaseclick here.

2. Completing one week of observed teaching practice

You will travel to Thailand, China, or Vietnam and complete one week of observed teaching practice.

3. Completing a teaching placement

You will then work as an English teacher in a school in Thailand, Vietnam, China or South Korea (the country of your choosing).

 Upon completion of your teaching placement, you will be awarded your TESOL Certificate from TEFL International.

What does the program fee include?

$500 includes:-

  • Your Virtual TESOL Course
  • Airport pick-up and transfer to your observed teaching practice location
  • Accommodation throughout your observed teaching practice AND your teaching placement (excluding Vietnam)
  • Transportation to your teaching placement
  • Ongoing support throughout your teaching placement
  • And remember….as TEFL International Alumni you will benefit from our job search assistance for the rest of your life!

Special Thai Project with TEFL International

We will base you in a school in the North, the East, or the Center of Thailand. Your students may range from kindergarten to teenagers. Just exactly where you will be teaching won’t be decided until you are almost finished with your course, but this much is guaranteed:

  • A one term (approx. 4.5 month) teaching placement in a Thai school.
  • A monthly salary of 30,000 baht.
  • Accommodation is either provided or an allowance provided.
  • Ongoing support for the duration of your teaching assignment.
  • Your work permit will be arranged for you.

To qualify for this outstanding program you need to have a BA or BSc university degree, in any subject, and be a native English speaker; that means a passport-holding citizen of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand.

In addition, to work in Thailand as a teacher you will need to provide these required documents:

  • Bachelors degree certificate.
  • University transcripts.
  • Verification letter of attendance from your University registrar.
  • Criminal background check.

Please note that you will be required to scan all these documents and email them to our Ban Phe course center prior to arriving in Thailand, and that you will need to bring the original documents with you.

* Please note the exact start and end dates of your teaching placements vary slightly from school to school and will not be known until nearer the time.

* Please note your Virtual TESOL Course and all written assignments must be completed before you can start your teaching practice
